WHAT DOES IT DO?
Â
Dermaplaning is an effective and safe exfoliation procedure. It uses a sterile surgical scalpel to shave the surface of the skin to remove excess dead skin and vellus hairs. The tool is held at a 45 degree angle and is brushed along the skin to remove the hair and skin cells. It is generally a stand alone procedure, but it does create deeper product penetration boosting the products effects. The procedure makes skin look and feel smoother and will reduce the appearance of acne scars.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
Before starting treatment, our esthetician will cleanse and prep the skin. The procedure is quick and painless and yields great results like glowing skin, more effective skincare use, and smoother makeup.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
We recommend getting a dermaplaning performed every 4-6 weeks. Talk with our esthetician to find the best schedule for you, as everyone's needs are different.
WILL I NEED TIME TO RECOVER?
After dermaplaning, we recommend avoiding exfoliants such as scrubs, glycolic acid and retinols for at least 5 days. Stay out of the sun for the first day, and use SPF 30+ and a wide brimmed hat while your skin is recovering.

Nicks on the skin are uncommon but do happen. They are very superficial and heal quickly.
